Our investigation firm headquarters is in Southern California. We have offices in the City of Pomona and Riverside and provide investigation services throughout the State of California. We service the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and the San Francisco Bay Area. We work directly with criminal defense attorneys, civil attorneys, corporate and boutique law firm, private sector companies, and individuals. We have a combined 30 years of experience in the investigation field and are fluent in Spanish.

Our Founder, Ms. Raquel Aragón

Ms. Aragón established this defense investigation firm in 2013. She is an alumna from the California State University of Fullerton and holds a Bachelor’s in Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, an Associates of Arts degree in Administration of Justice from Rio Hondo College in Whittier, California. Upon graduating from college, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue her career in law enforcement. In 2002, she became a Federal Police Officer with the United States Treasury Department. She attended Federal Law Enforcement Academy in Glynco, Georgia, also known as FLETC. In 2006, Ms. Aragón shifted her hats and went from prosecution to defense work. She became a Criminal Defense Investigator with the Public Defender's Office. She has and continues to investigate a wide range of felony, misdemeanor, capital, juvenile, and criminal habeas cases. Her fluency in Spanish allowed her to handle a higher volume of cases exposing her to more than the average defense investigator.

In 2013, Ms. Aragón began the quest to start her private investigation firm. She had substantially completed more than the 6000 hrs. of paid investigation experience as required by the State of California, Bureau of Security & Investigative Services. Today, she works with top-rated attorneys throughout the State of California. She has been the sole investigator on high profile media cases. She was hired to re-conduct an investigation that occurred in the late 80’s involving a double homicide, and will be featured in Dutch Televised documentary with an Netherlands Attorney from PrisonLaw on the developments of the imprisonment of Dutchman. She has investigated and has visited defendant’s in county, federal, and state prisons; San Quentin, Ironwood, California Medical Facility, and  Centinela State Prison. She has a success rate in getting cases dismissed based on her detailed investigations. Not only is Ms. Aragón involved in the field work, but she dives into reviewing all discovery, and presenting strategies to her clients.

She has worked on cases before the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, and Fourth Appellate District. In addition, Ms. Aragón was the sole assigned defense investigator of a two year trial-prep investigation, and eight-month trial in San Bernardino County, People v. Paul Biane Once called by the former San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos, and then Attorney General Jerry Brown as the “Biggest Corruption Scandal.” As a result of the defense work, a not guilty verdict was reached in late August of 2017. In 2018, the defense trial team from the Larson O’Brien Law Firm, Attorneys Stephen G. Larson and Jonathan Phillips was honored with the CLAY Award by California Lawyer Magazine as California Attorneys of the Year. for their successful defense.

Ms. Aragón has worked in numerous cases; Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena, California, the jury awarded $10 million in damages to the family of a boy who was allegedly molested at “RBAC.” In 2016, she was the defense investigator for a retired Drug Enforcement Administration Agent who was allegedly accused of conspiring to commit fraud. On the 5th day of trial, the U.S. Attorney’s Office dismissed the nine-count indictment against our client.

She continues to stay ahead of the law's frequent changes by attending conferences and being an active member of the defense organization. As mentioned in testimonials, Ms. Aragón is not your typical investigator nor your heavy-handed retired law enforcement officer. The difference between Ms. Aragón and other private investigators is that she knows and is dedicated in finding a defense. When she is not doing investigations, she spends her time training her protection dog, and cycling!
